What exactly is 5G Standalone (SA), and why is it different from the existing Non-Standalone (NSA)?

The new 5G+ network runs on a standalone (SA) architecture, which is a major upgrade. Unlike the previous version of 5G that relied on 4G for calls and other services, 5G SA is a completely independent system. This provides you with faster, more powerful performance.

Will my existing monthly 5G mobile plan price change after launch of 5G+?

Good news: Your current plan price doesn’t change. You’ll get the benefits of 5G+ at the same great value.

When will the 5G+ SIM upgrade for existing customers be available?

We’ll be reaching out to affected customers soon with instructions to upgrade their SIM/eSIM to 5G+. Look out for our email with the details.

Will I experience service downtime when I switch to a 5G+ compatible SIM Card/eSIM?

No downtime. Once you activate your replacement SIM/eSIM, your mobile services will continue right away. Please check instrucions provided in our email on your SIM/eSIM replacement.

Is there a cost to upgrade to a new SIM Card/eSIM for 5G+?

No extra cost. If your current SIM isn’t compatible, you’ll get a free 5G+ ready SIM card or eSIM with your 5G plan.

My 5G phone is not listed on this page. How can I check if my current phone supports 5G(SA)?

Our list shows phones verified by our network provider. If your phone is not listed, please check with your device manufacturer to confirm whether it supports 5G (SA) on the Singtel network.

Can I still use my existing phone or mobile plan if it isn't 5G (SA) compatible?

Yes, you can continue using your current phone and mobile plan. However, you’ll only be able to access the 4G network until you upgrade to a 5G (SA) compatible device.

Any impact on number porting in from another provider during 5G+ rollout?

No, number porting will not be affected during our 5G+ rollout.

How do I know if I am on 5G+ network?

Your mobile phone may not display “5G+” icon. You are already connected to the 5G+ network if your phone displays the 5G icon.

My phone only supports 5G (NSA). Can my mobile plan remain on 5G (NSA)?

You can continue to enjoy 5G (NSA) before we retired it at a later date. There is no impact to customers using 4G phone.
